that having been said, i was looking for a relatively easy way to apply the first layer or two of resin to the outside of the pieces, to help make them more water resistant and therefore more warp resistant so that i don't need to worry as much about evil warping when i go to put fiberglass inside the pieces.
i went out of bought a can of krylon triple thick crystal clear glaze in hopes that 4 to 5 layers would be the same as two thin ones of resin... or at the very least act as one layer so that i can apply the second one with the real resin. mainly, i just want it to put down a solid enough base so that i can build off it without having to worry about the whole thing warping.
i have sprayed sections of my shin size tester with this stuff, and am waiting for it to totally dry, then i will have a go with the resin. and see what happens when i mix the two. but as it stands, after 4 sprays it LOOKS like it will at least take the resin without turning the card stock to warpedness.... time will tell for sure though.

how have you been? it's been a while.
